It's Coming

What happens when you find your old iPod Shuffle that only has a couple of handfuls of songs uploaded to it? You start dancing around your kitchen to American Idol tunes from several years back. Or at least this is my experience... I can't speak for the world as a whole.

But in other more interesting news, Valentine's Day is approaching us. Seventeen days, to be exact. Am I the only single girl who's unexplainably excited about it? I have no idea what it is about the day, other than the candy and pink and red everything lining the store shelves. I'll admit, I've had past Valentine's Days where I felt it was my civic duty (not to mention honor) to verbally express to everyone within listening range of my disappointment in this day, a day that was invented solely to bring light to the realities of my tragic datelessness. But I'm over that. I mean seriously, the day is still super fun, and I don't even have to take the time to worry my frantic, little fashion oblivious head if I'm wearing the right outfit (partially because I'll probably be working that day in my uniform). I can just enjoy it without worrying about... well, anything, singleness included. And you should too! Listen to fun music, watch a favorite movie with your best friends, or maybe just do a few cartwheels as reminder of how alive you are. Alright, I've never done a cartwheel in my life, but the other day I randomly really really wanted to.

What does this Valentine's Day mean to you

Updates and My Brand Of Randomness...

It's been too long, again. Way, way too long.
Announcement #1: I changed the comment verification thingy (such technical language) to keep that bad ol' spam at bay. ;)

Announcement #2: Well, I should have planned that one out, shouldn't I have? Haha
(Note to self: laughing at your own pointless jokes is definitely not cool.)

Annnyway, I want you all to know I haven't forgotten it here, I miss writing a lot, but inspiration hasn't exactly been flowing like water from a fountain for me and life is getting a little bit busier. I'm so extremely blessed with where I'm starting to work though. I'm serious guys, I was literally skipping around earlier about it... And needless to say, listening to really perky songs from my pre-teen years. (The Lizzie Mcguire Movie soundtrack, need I say more?)
To sum it up, I'm really happy.

Not to say everything is smooth sailing for me right now, because there's always bumps along the way. Those rough patches usually wind up teaching me something in the end anyway though. :)

So! To end this particularly random post, how about I post a couple of snow pictures? You heard it! We had snow in Alabama. Woo hoo! :D
How've you been and what's the weather like, friends?

Todayness

I haven't been keeping up with y'all's blogs like I should, and all I want is some nice quiet time with my laptop and coffee where I can blog scan forever and a day, but I have to send off for a new cord hopefully tonight. So, for awhile now I've been writing on the desktop, that's in one of the coldest rooms in the house, haha. And I'll be switching desktops soon too, which means more me-take-photos will be coming (with better editing software). ;)

Today I'm smiling, because God found me a job that works so perfectly into my life, I didn't think it even existed. It's a restaurant that's run by Christians, and completely and totally wonderful. Not that I'm biased of this place... But truly, it's better than I could ever have expected. My soon to be boss is just so, so nice, and the other employees seem to be, as well. Ahh, and I'll be getting weekends and late nights off, so I can still go to church, volunteer at the horse stables and set up photography shoots.
His plans are always better than my own.

Blessings to all of you! How is 2013 so far? :)

Be Fearless and Speak Now

“Real life is a funny thing you know.

In real life saying the right thing, at the right moment is beyond crucial.
So crucial in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
But lately what I’ve began to fear more than that, is letting the moment pass with saying anything.
I think you deserved to look back on your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying, I could of but it’s too late now.
So there’s a time for silent, and there a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say.
You’ll know it.
I don’t think you should wait.
I think you should speak now.”
-Taylor Swift

Be fearless. Say what you mean, and accomplish the beautiful, that you always thought was impossible. Even when you think you can't, you always can, even if it terrifies you. Maybe it's walking up on stage and singing, letting go while learning how to swim, or writing a letter that leaves you feeling butterfly nerves. Whatever it is, I just want you to know, you can

God always gives us the strength to achieve anything that's worth it. <3
