Flash Fiction Friday ~ Part One

He took off up the mountain to find her in the field of daisies. Her grey eyes saw prisms of light through wet lashes and a cast down sun on the boy's crinkled mouth and five o'clock shadow. "It's funny how I've never told you--", she whispered, shaking her head, 
but he always spoke too soon.
