This week has been one of growing and changing, dreaming and planning.
I've been working harder than I ever have in my entire life, but it's been good and a little scary/embarrassing, but mostly good.
I've realized more than ever that even people who we see as enemies have a story and a reason and maybe it's just a smile given to them that makes you see this clearly.
A moment made my world stop, and now I can't forget it. It was beautiful and sacred.
The guys at work are slowly starting to warm up to me and I guess you could say I'm in the initiation process, which is new to me being a homeschool graduate.
I've been laughing a lot, and understanding how important that is.
I got my first paycheck and set up my first bank account. It was terrifying and hopeful.
I've become an early bird. Today is the start of my three day weekend and sleeping in 'til 6:15 felt like the afternoon. Is that sad, or what?
Tomorrow my family's packing up a picnic and soccer ball and heading to my favorite park, because it's supposed to be nice and sunny and perfect.

The other day I tried on my great grandmother's engagement and wedding rings from the 1920's, both nearly a perfect fit. I decided if I do get married, I'd love for those to be the ones I wear. It's a strange feeling to look down at the small diamond and simple gold bands to realize that you're staring at what you'll wear someday, for the rest of your life.
I'm daydreaming about what will happen tonight. Maybe nothing special will, but maybe...
What has your week been like, dear friends? Any moments that have left you breathless?
Aww this was sweet to read. I am so glad work is going well for you :) I remember when I opened my first bank account. The teller was super nerdy and couldn't stop chattering about Greek mythology! Haha it was funny.
ReplyDeleteI had some breathless moments this week. Nothing I can write out in a comment though, haha!
Glad your week went well :)
Yes... a couple of moments like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm adding this blog to my favorites because the way you wrote it... this reminded me so much of my week. X) Thank you.

These are my favorite. :) i love those moments, and laughing is important. It keeps you young. XD haha. And appreciative. I really think thats awesome about your grandma's wedding ring. I wish I had a pass me down ring. Because I always thought something like that would be neat and meaningful.
Lastly, the picnick sounds like a cute and fun idea. Have a fun day, and a beautiful week. :) And smile, smile, smile.

ReplyDeleteWow. This was awesome. This whole post was awesome. I'm with you; I've been waking up early for the past few days. It's such a nice, full day when you do :) And I loved the bit about the rings! How cool! :D
