My friend, Lacey, tagged me to answer eleven awesome possum questions, and I am super excited to start this thing. :D
So, 'er we go...
Have you ever sewn your own piece of clothing?
I have... if you can call it sewing when it falls apart right after it's finished. ;)
Do you have a job? If so, where? If not, where you do want to work?
I do. :) I recently got a job for an amazing Christian-run restaurant. I'm so excited!
Describe your perfect first date
Weeell, that's sort of a tough one. BUT I'd have to say it sounds nice to have a day at a botanical garden, involving a picnic lunch and a game of cards in the grass. :) Or maybe dinner and a happy movie, because I'm just that original.
Who is your too-old-for-you-but-still-hot celebrity crush? [ c'mon, I know you have one ]
I'm gonna say Patrick Dempsey, solely based on this scene from Enchanted...
*swoon*
Shaken or stirred?
I'm such a kid, because the first thing I thought of was in The Santa Clause when the little elf girl said the hot chocolate was "shaken, not stirred", hahaha. I'm not really sure about alcoholic drinks, because I've only tasted the stuff a few times, and at weddings. So, if we're talking hot chocolate, shaken. ;)
Have you ever had something stolen from you?
Yes, and I still cringe at how much it was my fault. Let me explain. I was at a movie with my sis and parents, while my two other sisters were at home watching a horror movie. So, they called us up right before the climax of our movie (which was nice and NOT scary) saying that they thought someone was breaking into the house. As we were leaving the theater and halfway out, I proclaim for all to hear (I'm brilliant) that I left my purse and I had to go look by my seat to quickly get it. Well, it was gone. Surprise. ;) Of course my sisters were fine, and all that the thief who nabbed my purse was left with was some lip gloss, the paperback edition of "The Sisterhood Of the Traveling Pants", a deck of Spongebob Uno cards and a journal expressing my fourteen-year-old concerns, all contained within a four-dollar clearance handbag from Old Navy.
What is an animal that creeps you out?
I used to love the lil' guys, but after hearing some stories and watching too much Little House, my views on Raccoons has altered through the years. All I'm saying is that they may not be the angels they try to make themselves out to be. The end.
Do you ever have a hard time letting people get close to you?
Pretty much all the time. ;) Honestly, it's gotten worse the older I get, the lousy trust issues I have. But that's something I'm trying to work on in 2013, to let myself become vulnerable. It's not easy, and definitely not always a natural instinct for me, but I think it's almost always worth it in the end.
If you could change one thing about your personality or one habit that you have, what would it be?
Aside from the being too closed off thing, I'd have to say I'd change how much I procrastinate. I'll work on it... tomorrow. ;) But seriously, it is a major fault of mine, and needs correcting like crazy.
Have you ever done anything for a homeless person?
Whenever I've been around a homeless person I've been with my family and they've helped, but I don't believe I've ever done anything personally. That should be on my 2013 bucket list.
Are you a cat or dog person?
I'm one of those rare sorts of people who likes dogs and cats just about equally. I thought I was more of a dog person, but up at the stable where I volunteer, there's this cat, Cali, and she's my new lil' baby. But then my dog, George, is my baby too. So I'm a dog and a cat person. :)
That was fun, and thank you again Lacey for tagging me! :D
I'm not going to tag a given number of folks, BUT if your eyes are reading this right now you can call yourself positively, out-rightly and officially tagged. :) My questions for you are:
1. Grab the nearest book to you, turn to page 35, and read line 7. What does it say?
2. If you could re-write the ending of a movie or book, which one would it be?
3. Who was your cartoon role model when you were little?
4. Has there been a life-changing lesson you've learned in 2013 yet?
5. What do you imagine your dream wedding to be like?
6. Do you think constructive criticism or positive encouragement is more helpful in day to day life?
7. Blink. What colors do you see?
8. Would you walk the ridge of a roof if someone dared you to?
9. If your entire vocabulary consisted of lyrics from one song, which song would you choose?
10. What's your very favorite candy for Valentines Day?
11. If you could go to coffee with anyone in history, who would it be?
Okay, so if y'all would like to answer, you can either post them on your own blog or leave them in the comments below. I'm excited to read what you have to say! :D
Blessings and love! <3
Haha I love your answers. We have a lot in common! That is SUCH a funny story about your purse being stolen, haha! I can imagine the look on the thief's face when he saw the treasures you had in there, hahaha! :P
ReplyDeleteOooh I love your questions! I shall answer them :D
1. "I nodded at this, forking up another bite of egg into my mouth, and the Major coughed."
2. Oooh gawsh. The first one I thought of was Fox and the Hound. I'd looooooooooove it if there was one last scene of Copper and Todd playing together! It's so sad that they never got that relationship back in the end, even though they ended on peaceful terms :(
3. Haha! Such a funny question. I really liked Kelly from Bobby's World, as weird as that is. Cause now that I'm grown up I see that she was a total teenage brat, haha!
4. Yes. That my impatience with God is just another indication that I'm not truly ready for a relationship with a guy just yet.
5. Sort of homey and down to earth. I want people to be comfortable and casual. I have this really simple vision in my mind, somewhere out in the country, maybe some BBQ and just down home fun! Nothing fancy or extravagant. Just surrounded by friends and family and real good fun.
6. Honestly I need a mixture. If I only get criticism, I start to feel down on myself and way too serious about life. The encouragement brings that humanistic relational aspect to a situation that I love.
7. Blue. And silvery metallic!
8. Absolutely not. All those years of watching Anne of Green Gables certainly taught me some lessons!
9. Oh my gosh! Mumford & Sons "Roll Away Your Stone" is a really good fit, but there's many others I could name if I thought about it more.
10. Dark chocolate raspberry :)
11. Jesusssssssss!!!!!!!!
Yikes, I love your answers! :D
DeleteOooh, now I wan dark chocolate raspberry candy, haha!
I'd choose Jesus for 11 too. <3 :)
