My First Thankful List

Today outside has been, well, there's no other word for it but dreary. A word which never comes falls out of my mouth gracefully, for some reason. But as I told my mom earlier, some days are naturally good and some days you have to make good.
I'm doing a thankful list.

Today's list is going to be more broad topic matters (since I still can't easily post my own family pictures due to computer issues), and later I'll do a more personal family and friend based one. :)

I'm thankful for the gift of words.
I love reading. It's funny, I always thought that fiction was what I loved most in books and articles, but I come to find out that non-fiction wins me over most of the time. There's something about reading what's really true. It's inspiring. Do you like non-fiction or fiction more, friends?
By the way, here's some reading that always finds a way to remind me of all the kindred spirits are out in the world. It's an free e-magazine, Ink and Fairydust, and is just a beautiful project they have going. It themes on the arts and is a perfect combination of both fiction and non-fiction. You should check it out. :)

I'm thankful for the time of year.
I may not care for the sicknesses and chunky coats, but I do adore the leaves to step on, the chill air brushing against my face, and the opportunity to wear plaid as much as I please.

I'm thankful for my little girl memories.
Have you ever taken time to stop and watch old episodes of your favorite childhood show? Chances are you'll cry a little, and laugh a lot. Oh, and this silly, airy song was one of my favorites back in the day.  :)

I'm thankful for emotions.
I'm not overly emotional, I do use logic, but I love that I have intense feelings, and that God gave that to me. Life is so much more beautiful, yet more painful, but so worth it... and more vibrant and bright when I take time let them seep through.

What are you thankful for, friend? :)

I hope you have a day so breathlessly angelic and mind-swirling, you'll want to write it down somewhere to read over again and again.

  1. I love this so incredibly much. :) I am also thankful for the time of year and little girl memories...that Lizzie photo... oh. It's perfect! I always loooved that show and more than anything I loved Lizzie and Gordo because I thought it was a pure, and perfect kind of romance you know? Unlike how they are today. He was so sweet to her, and she was so cute when she was younger! I miss that show. :(

Today, I am thankful that I am alive. That I get the chance to do things today.
Today, I am thankful for sight. Because there are so many beautiful things out there today.
Today, I am thankful for music. Because I have the ability to share and create memories with it today.
Today, I am thankful for posts that brighten my spirits up and make me happy.

Thanks, for inspiring, as always. <3

    1. Awww, yes, Gordo and Lizzie's relationship very refreshing, I think. You can find a lot of the episodes on Youtube. For real. :)

  2. Words are at the top of my thankful list =) I know what you mean about nonfiction. I've always thought that I hated it, but I'm started to like it a lot. Especially when it's well-written.
