Happy day after Thanksgiving, everyone! :)
Oh my goodness gracious, it was a full day. Parade watching, family coming over, eating an overwhelming feast (with the best turkey dressing my mom has ever made), keeping up with the little ones, and running around with my Canon taking pictures (which I still have to sort through), when I had the rare chance. God was so good to me and made my laryngitis better so I could talk with more control, people were happy and I got a lot of good hugs because I love hugs a lot more than I used to. Even the unexpected picture my sister snapped and posted of me on Facebook made me smile because she was so sweet about it and the cranberry sauce that spilled on my cream kimono sweater during dinner I somehow found hilarious.
How was your Thanksgiving, friends? :)
Did you watch the parade, dog show, or better yet, The Today Show, when Martha Stewart said that her turkey was not an "insipid bird"? I had no idea that Martha has a Jane Austen vocabulary, haha!
I'm going to go help my folks put inside Christmas decorations up, eat a turkey-dressing-and-cranberry-sauce-sandwich (the best ever), maybe just maybe play Apples to Apples with the family who's coming over tonight and Santa Claus is Coming to Town is on the radio as I these words out. This time of year, it's pretty magical, isn't it? Now, please go eat some pie, just because. :)
Blessings and love. <3 :)
Sounds like a lovely day! I watched the parade while baking pies :) It was definitely a good day and I am so happy you had a good one too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! Yes, I do get the "you look so much alike!" comment a lot, haha! But that's okay :)
That's wonderful sounding! Pies and the parade sounds like a perfect combo in my opinion. :)
DeleteHaha, aww well you're welcome!
I think I will,a slice Pumpkin with a (rather large) dollop of cool whip on top. =D We're going to put up Christmas decorations too!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I like the way you respond to each comment, you've inspired me. =)
I knew I'd end up saying "aww thanks!" a lot, but now it's not as monotnos as I thought. <3

Oh my goodness, yes. Pumpkin is my most favorite pie in the history of pies. Hehe, I've had way too much of it these past couple of days.
DeleteThat is so sweet, Jenny! I hoped that y'all saw where I was responding to all your dear comments, so that makes me so happy! <3
Love this post a lot! The way you write is really fun and engaging. :) sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Spending time with family is so special. And yes, thanksgiving leftover sandwiches are the best. :)) ahhh, I had so much pie already. I basically had pie for dinner last night...and breakfast this morning. SO yummy.
ReplyDeleteThis time of the year is so magical...and may just be my favorite time of year.
Blessings!

Thank you girl, that means so much to me! :) Ohh, yes, I've had pie so very much these past few days. I think it's sort of necessary, hehe.
DeleteI think this is my favorite time of year, too. There's so much to adore and take in, that's surrounding us. :)
Blessings to you too!
Love the pie picture and the beautiful fuzzy images you created:) We watched the Macy's Day Parade, and my little sisters like to watch the dog show as me and my older sister lijke to play soccer in the mid morning with a group of church friends. :) But then we got to settle down and eat a efast and pies with family and friends later and we played apples to apples too!
