Fearless

Life can have its scary moments. You know this already though. Maybe it's the moment you're about to again face the guy you've secretly liked for years. You don't want to find out what may hurt. Guess what? You can go through with it anyway. You have the courage inside to face anyone or any mountain of a fear.

A poor quality phone camera photo of my feet in the ocean. You know what? I love this photo. I felt fearless for practically that entire vacation.

Tonight I went to confession (I'm Catholic) and that can be frightening, but with God's grace it's possible. That's the thing, the courage inside is His grace--even the things we thought we could never do, we can. Isn't  this comforting?

Maybe Taylor Swift wasn't thinking along these lines when she wrote it, but truth is, that's what fearless is all about, having strength that's not our own, even though our hands may be trembling... our voices shaking.

  1. Very good words to muse over. Fear can be such a crippling tool of the devil... it's such a relief to know God can take that fear away from you!
