Some truths that I've been humbled by recently:
The world is sometimes a mess, but kindness helps.
It's okay to admit when you were wrong.
It's okay to admit when you were right.
It's okay to disagree.
It's also okay to miss people who you haven't talked to in years.
Being unabashedly yourself around people is empowering.
And what you dislike about yourself, other people love (and so should you).
Being single is all that and a bag of Skittles.
But being a hopeless romantic doesn't equal weakness.
Singing is always a good idea, especially if you're out of tune.
If what you're doing is making you miserable, leave it.
When your voice falters, you're probably saying something right. Keep going.
Diets are depressing.
Family, friends, good food, daisies and The Beach Boys are happy.
Vulnerability is terribly hard and terribly worth it.
And the One Who holds the stars also holds us.

  1. This post is really encouraging! I found your blog from Fifth out of Ten, and I absolutely love your blog!
I love how you said it's okay to admit that you were wrong, which was something in my pride that I wasn't allowing myself to do and that put up walls in a relationship.
I especially love the last sentence though, which is the most important and most encouraging!
God bless you and I love your blog, definitely following!
